Second 'Biding with Serpa at Tijuca National Park'

On May 1st, Labor Day, there was the second edition of 'Birding with Serpa at Floresta da Tijuca' (Tijuca National Park), guided by me. Even though it was organized practically the day before, a very nice group of nine observers from Rio de Janeiro attended the call and were able to record and photograph several interesting species on a sunny autumn morning.

The Spot-billed Toucanet (Selenidera maculirostris) once again showed up, there was the unexpected record of a young male of the Bare-throated Bellbird (Procnias nudicollis) already advanced for the season, but what really put on a show this time was the male Pin-tailed Manakin (Ilicura militaris), in addition to the Long-billed Wren (Cantorchilus longirostris).

I thank all participants, and see you in the next edition!
